Villa Eden

The history of Villa Eden dates back to 1982, when Karl Schmid, (the father of Angelika Schmid, the current CEO) had the vision to transform an elegant private villa in Merano, a historical spa town in Italy’s South Tyrol region into the first Italian “Beauty Farm”. The subsequent participation of spa legend Henri Chenot in the project confirmed the success of the innovative concept. Since 1993, Angelika has been carrying out the development of Villa Eden, transforming it into an exclusive retreat hotel with just 25 suites, innovative culinary artistry, wellness and beauty treatments as well as an available medical team. Angelika says “the cornerstone of our philosophy is to help guests rediscover harmony, energy and well-being.”
